Amid questions over elevation, President Kovind appoints Justice Sanjiv Khanna as Supreme Court judge

President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday appointed Justice Sanjiv Khanna, judge of Delhi High Court, to be a judge of the Supreme Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office, amid questions over the elevation.
